Csaba M. Rusznak Reappointed to ICSID Panel of Conciliators

Csaba M. Rusznak has been reappointed to the Panel of Conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) for a further six-year term, designated by Hungary.

The ICSID Panel of Conciliators is a roster of individuals from which States and investors may select conciliators to help resolve investment disputes through conciliation — an alternative to arbitration in which a neutral third party assists the parties in reaching a mutually acceptable settlement. Panel members are designated by ICSID Member States and the Chairman of the ICSID Administrative Council.

Reflecting on his reappointment, Csaba said: "As mediation and conciliation in the investor-State realm gain traction, I look forward to continuing our work with States to assist them in exploring opportunities for resolving disputes pre-arbitration whenever possible."
