Senior Counsel
Dorieke is Senior Counsel at Sovereign Arbitration Advisors. She specializes in international arbitration and litigation. She has experience with ICSID and UNCITRAL proceedings, appeared before the European Court of Justice and participated domestic court proceedings across diverse jurisdictions. She is qualified to practice law in the Netherlands.
Dorieke’s background is firmly rooted in the public sector, both in the EU and in the
Netherlands. She was part of the European Union’s negotiation teams with the United
States (TTIP) and Canada (CETA), has authored the 2019 Dutch model bilateral investment treaty and has led the team responsible for defending the Netherlands in national and international climate litigation and arbitration proceedings. Her expertise extends to the implementation and application of investment screening in the Netherlands and beyond.
